New EVG ERM-ECO Welding System – Fully Automated Production of Reinforcement Mesh with Batch Size 1

During a factory demonstration, the latest EVG ERM-ECO welding system was presented to a selected group of customers. This new development targets both mat manufacturers and bending operations looking to produce reinforcement mats in the smallest batch sizes. The following features impressed our customers during the demonstration:

Continuous division of longitudinal and transverse bars – no grid, no limitation on production output
No setup times between different mat types – “just in time” production
Production of mats with cutouts and nearly any custom contour
Base material WR or KR quality – wire diameters from 5.0 mm to 16.0 mm
Fully automated production with longitudinal and transverse wires from coils, featuring an integrated rotor straightening machine

The machine is available in various configurations, offering an output capacity ranging from 200 to 400 m²/hour. The first unit of this series will soon be in operation at one of our customers’ facilities.

Monitoring of the POLYBEND Workspace with Laser Scanner

Increasing workplace safety in the operation of rebar bending machines can be achieved through various measures. The primary challenge is to safely remove rebar from hazardous areas with minimal impact on production efficiency. Common industry practices include the use of conveyors or robots for handling rebar into big bags or similar solutions.
