New Insights at EVG

EVG is setting new standards in the production of fence and industrial mesh with its latest welding system. This innovation is further enhanced by an automated labeling system for mesh bundles, which boosts efficiency and precision. Additionally, we reflect on the highlights of BAUMA and INSIDE EVG 2022 in Raaba-Grambach, where visitors gained exciting insights into the future of the industry.

NEW: Automatic Labeling of Mat Packets

EVG has been repeatedly approached with the requirement to automatically label mat stacks. This automation step aims not only to relieve employees of our customers but also to optimize the productivity of welding machines.

To achieve these goals, EVG has developed the new Mattenpaket-Etikettierer MPT and successfully tested it in practice.

The following features characterize this patented innovation:

  • Integrated printer to provide labels just-in-time
  • Standard labels can be printed with customer-specific data – including batch numbers and other individual content
  • Integration into the mat stacker – no additional space required
  • Labels are programmatically attached to the longitudinal wire of the mat using a wire ring
  • Retrofit possible for almost all existing EVG grid welding machines

IM-ECO – the new EVG welding machine for the production of fence and industrial meshes sets new standards.

Small batch sizes, high quality requirements, tight manufacturing tolerances, and a wide range of products – meeting these demands with a fully automated machine is the goal of our new welding machine IM-ECO.

At WIRE 2022 in June 2022, we demonstrated how the IM-ECO fully meets these expectations. It is now also in practical use at an EVG customer.

Key Technical Features of this Machine:

  • Processing of smooth, pre-formed longitudinal and transverse rods in the diameter range of 2.5 mm – 8.0 mm, plain or galvanized
  • Longitudinal wire spacings from 25 mm upwards steplessly adjustable; transverse wire spacings freely programmable from 12.5 mm
  • Feeding of transverse rods either above or below the longitudinal wires for producing single-bar and double-bar mats
  • Fast and simple manual changeover for product changes
  • Innovative medium-frequency direct current welding technology EVG-ECOWELD

Looking back at BAUMA and INSIDE EVG 2022, held in Raaba-Grambach from October 21 to 31, 2022:

n October, EVG participated as an exhibitor at BAUMA, where the POLYBEND PBX with Bügelabnahmeroboter SMR was demonstrated. This was complemented by a live broadcast from a bending operation in Germany, allowing visitors to witness the practical capabilities of the robot. Additionally, the POLYBEND PB 16 was presented to our guests.

For the first time this year, alongside our BAUMA appearance in Munich, the customer event INSIDE EVG took place at the EVG facility in Raaba-Grambach.

We welcomed numerous customer delegations from various countries to Austria. A detailed presentation of EVG’s product portfolio for rebar processing from ring, along with various exhibits, was offered, as well as a comprehensive tour of our manufacturing facilities.

Some customers also had the opportunity to visit the facilities of our sister companies, AVI and BSTG, which are located on the same site as EVG.
