Ensuring the fault-free manufacture and assembly of a production line requires translation of the basic concept into an exact constructional drawing. These drawings and bills of materials are made by our designers on their computers. These show the entire line, including all details required for the manufacture of component parts and assembly. Additional training in mechanical engineering technology results in a better understanding of the components involved as you will have already assembled them in our workshop.

The base frame, i.e. the basic structural steelwork of EVG machines and production lines, is erected and assembled by technicians specializing in steel engineering with various types of welding joints playing a major role.

Many different machine elements must be assembled to enable the proper functioning of a line. The installation and functional checks of the pneumatic and hydraulic systems also belong to the core technical tasks of a technician specializing in mechanical engineering.

From blank to workpiece: this is the range of tasks for technicians specializing in metal technology and machining. This concerns optimal machining approaches and the definition of workflows. Sophisticated machine components are produced with computer controlled machining centers.

Electrical power serves to drive the machine or production line. The tasks of a plant and industrial technician include: installation of control cabinets, mounting and connecting different electric components as well as functional checks and commissioning.

Installation, commissioning and maintenance of production lines are tasks for a mechatronics engineer. This means that mechanical and electronic modules and pneumatic or hydraulic systems and controls must be installed, commissioned, connected and tested. These tasks require competence in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics and mechanical engineering – which entails multi-faceted training.

Quotations, order confirmations and invoices (after shipping) are created in cooperation with our sales and distribution department. Ordering parts for production is another part of this assignment. For companies with international operations like ours, the handling of international exports is further important aspect.

Electronic processing of data is a key area in a company. Information technology – technicians set up devices for electronic data processing and install, inspect and service them. This goes for the hardware (computers and peripheral devices, e.g. printers, scanners, fax machines), operating systems, networks, interfaces and also user programs

Accepting goods and putting them into stock while taking into account the required storage conditions – this is the task of an in-house logistics services clerk. As an important partner for production, logistics ensures that the right goods are provided in the right quality at the right time and in the right quantity at the right place. This task is accomplished through the use of special EDP programs and transportation systems.

At the beginning of my training, I was not quite sure if this were the right profession for a girl. Our preparation for vocational school is very good and we are free to change departments for more diverse training. That’s awesome. Owing to my experience and all the things I have learned, I soon realized that there is no need to worry about my choice of vocation.
